Sea Oaks GCDay 1:Round I Perfect day for golf on a not so perfect golf course. We were greeted with rude staff, waited for range balls and the fairways were not in top shape. However, everyone was ready to battle it out and get some hardware for the awards night. It turns out that the young gun, Daniel Hollnsteiner, blazed the field away and posted a score of 5 under par to win the first day tour and lead class A. Second place was a 4-way tie with a minus 2 and it goes to Mac Fojas. Congrats to all the winner for Day 1.  Champion Oscar "Duval Bogey" BrionesSWAGTour Round II
Sea Oaks GCDay 2:Round II It was cloudy and forecast was some rain in the afternoon. The pairing were all set and players were ready to make a move to catch up with the young gun leading the pack. Eventual tour winner, Oca "Duval Bogey" Briones displayed his old form and nearly grabbed all the prizes including the low gross, longest drive and most of the closest to the pin contest. It was a tight race for the year end championship as Daniel struggled to hold on to his day 1 lead. Daniel missed a few putts and opened the door for his closest rival to catch up. Old gun, Melvin Go, rallied from behind to tie Daniels total score of 4 under par, and this was good enough for Melvin to grab the year end title in Class A. Another old gun and former Class A champion, Jimmy Gochuico won the Class B trophy followed closely by Ed Amaba. The winners celebrated at our usual favorite portuguese bbq at Clarks and this capped off a very exciting year end championships. Congrats to all the winners and see you at our Ryder Cup.   Champion Lito "Tiger" De Guzman Tour#10: The Gladiator Cup Olde Homestead GC, New Tripoli, PA If you are hot, you're hot and some swaggers are playing their best golf of the season. An exciting pre-game psyche war lingered on around the driving range as friendly wagers kept pouring in as to who will make it to Class A. Jimmy G. was definitely in the hot seat as he needed to step up and play better than his current handicap. Unfortunately, he could not muster enough of his golf tournament experience to improve his tour points standing as he is now relegated to Class B with other notable experienced players like Mr. T who is just outstide the cut line. They will now have to try and redeem their relegation by at least winning the 2 championship rounds to be proclaimed Class B champion.
This last tournament did not lack any exciting moments as we almost had another B2B title holder. Bert Pizarro yet again played another stellar game with a net 63, but lost by one stroke to the surging giant killer, Lito de Guzman. It was Lito's third win this season as he broke all SWAG records by netting the highest tour points ever compiled in a single season. His game is now primed and ready to defend his overall championship from 2009. Who will stand up to the challenge and foil Lito's dream season?

Center Valley Golf CourseIt was hot hot hot but that did not stop some players from posting their best scores of the season. Hot rod, Lito DG was on the prowl again and was about to claim another win. Caloy came up with a galant stand but fell a bit short. The showstopper came from a second year member, Bert Pizzaro who posted a net score of 68. It was such a surprise that he treated everyone to food and beer inside the clubhouse when the results was finally settled.

Southmoore Golf CourseThe morning started with a steady downpour while driving to the golf course but as the first flight was about to tee off, it turned to a light drizzle. A few holes later, the sun came out and the day was just perfect for a golf tournament. This time around, we have a new challenger that managed to stall Lito DG's winning rampage. Gerry Aguilera captured the second place title as he was 2 strokes behind the Champ. There must be something special at Bamboo Grill because the eventual champion is no other than Andy "Zman" Zapata, scoring a net 67. It was truly a promising start for El Presidente, Kelly Concepcion, as he rallied with superb ball striking on the back nine-- only to fall short by 2 strokes to the hottest player on SWAG tour right now. It looks the rest of us are all faced with the tough task of beating or at the very least, getting close to the hot streaking winner, Lito De Guzman, who scored another low net of 63. On that hot summer day, even the tough fast greens of Bethlehem Golf Club was no match for Lito as he scored another sizzling round in the 60's.
We still have a chance to win on the remaining 3 tour games. So practice harder if you want to unseat Lito from the top spot.
This is also a good opportunity for those who need to complete the required 5 games to qualify for the year end Championships; and for those inactive members, to avoid jeopardizing their current status for failing to compete within the required number of games.

Allentown Golf ClubIf you don't get it the first time, try and try again. That's what our eventual champion, Ferdie Umahon did on Saturday. And it was a narrow win. A missed putt on the 18th hole, might have sealed the deal for the second place finisher, Andy Z'man Zapata. But it wasn't meant to be. The back nine tie breaker was Ferdie's first win this season just coming off a second place finish from the previous tournament.
Smooth swinging Ferdie Umahon bagged Tour 6 with another low net score of 63. It only proves that these Swaggers are getting better as the season progresses.. So you have to bring it on the next tour if you want to win the trophy.

Blue Heron Pines GCAs the saying goes, practice makes perfect, in true form the hardest working swagger sets a record low net score of 57. Yes, you read it right, 57 net score and this will surely be a record that will be very hard to beat. The closest second place winner, Ferdie Umahon, who also posted a ground breaking net score of 61 was still 4 strokes back. Even the inspired game of Dr. Jun Bada whose net of 7 under par would have easily won the championship but not on this day. This day belong to the hardest working swagger and premier ballroom dancer, Lito De Guzman who scored 79 breaking 80 for the first time! He almost grabbed the low gross score too but our official paparazzi photographer, Romy Francisco was able to hold on to low gross with a 77. This was truly a test and the golf course was in prime condition as they were getting ready for an LPGA tournament on June 16.
Everyone who stayed was treated to a hearty meal and celebrated this record breaking experience. We would like to thank Lito and Jun for treating the group. This shows how Swaggers celebrate a wonderful day of golf by bonding after the tournament.

Locust Valley Golf ClubHe's baaaaacccckkk!!! Finally out of nowhere, Oca "Duval Bogey" Briones gets his game back and captures a tour victory this season. This win however was almost eradicated if not for a meltdown on the last hole of eventual runner up, Roland Macasieb, who ended with a 8 on the last hole, thus losing by 1 stroke. It looks like Swag Ace, Lino Emnas, also re-discovers his game and posted the low gross 79. Now it's getting interesting as players are getting back to the swing of tournament play. Who will win the next tour? There was a victory celebration hosted at Pandan and everyone who attended was treated by Oca, Roland, Kelly and Max who all contributed in paying for the bill. Thank you for the generosity and this truly exemplifies why Swag is a premier golf organization. He came, He saw, He conquered!!! Despite missing the first 2 tours, the Cash man Castillo smoldered the competition by posting a net 65 with closest competitor Vir Mangonon coming up short with a net 69. It was not only the weather that was hot that day, as few players stood out with birdies (Mon 3, Romy 2, Vir 2 birides) while others struggled to stay cool with the rising scores. Romy captures his second straight low gross win.

Ooops he did it again ....... no it's not Brittney Spears but Ron Bruno did it again! He trampled the competition to submission by posting a net 61 (10 under par) and 2nd place/Low Gross winner, Romy Francisco, was not even close with a net 70.
