With all the golf gadgets and goodies unwrapped from the Christmas past, it's time to put them to use!

Hello 2K10!! Swaggers, let the party begin!!

The big question is are YOU ready? Have you been rubbing tiger balm on those creaky joints? Taking ginseng extract religiously? Getting a rubdown after every driving range session? Or simply taking it easy in that lazyboy chair and trusting the golf gods to bestow you with herculean power to be # 1 this year?

Everyone has their agenda. So let's get together and map out the 2K10 plan.

Bring your ideas. Introduce your new members. Discuss and be awed by this year's GC line-up.

Say hello to your friends whom you haven't seen in a while. Bring along your checkbook (or cash). Break bread and share a laugh or two. Bring a wine bottle or case of beer. Place a bet on the superbowl lottery.

Bamboo Grill is surely ready for us! Let's get the party rolling !!

Happy New Year! Our Inauguration Meeting for our 2009 Season will be held at Bamboo Grill on Saturday, January 31st at 12:30 PM. Buffet lunch will be served. Purpose of the meeting is to:

(1) Select/elect a new President for the 2009/2010 seasons.

(2) Introduction of new members. Please let us know asap if you're sponsoring any new members. We have a limited number of vacant seats that will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Remember that we want avid golfers who will play the minimum of five games regardless of their ability.

(3) Collect 2009 membership dues of $200/person. (Bring a check) If any of you do not plan to renew your membership, please let us/me know asap. I will ask Z-man to prepare a sign-in page on our website so we know who's coming and not. Please sign-in or out once available.

Check whos is registered already
For those of you who are interested in joining the 2009 Fed Ex Cup, please bring a separate check for $100. This is not a SWAG sanctioned event and participation is voluntary.

Finally, bring some cash for our Superbowl boxes.

2009 will be the year I etch my name on our Tour Championship trophy!

Happy New Year! mark your calendar, Saturday, February 2nd for our 2008 inaugural meeting which will be held at Pandan Restaurant at 6 PM. Dinner will be served with a partial Swag subsidy. Detailed agenda to follow.

If any of you would like to sponsor new candidates for Swag membership (or if we have any returning ex-members), please let me or a Swag officer know ahead of time and if accepted, please ask them to come to our inaugural meeting for introduction. Just remember that we're looking for avid golfers, regardless of handicap, who will actively participate in outings and bond with the group.

If any of you have issues that you would like to discuss with the group, please let me or any Swag officer know and if the Swag Board feels your issue(s) are valid, we will present to the group for a possible vote. Like everything else in a democracy, majority rules.

If any of you want to suggest new golf course venues, please email Jimmy, Cary and Gerry A.(Tour Coordinating Committee). They are in the process scheduling tour dates and selecting courses for 2008.

Other issues to be discussed are venues for 2008 two day tour championship, 2008 Awards Night, setting 2008 membership dues, subsidies, Ryder Cup tournaments with other golf groups, etc.

Finally, I'm organizing a 3 night/4 day Swag (non-sanctioned) Memorial Day Weekend golf trip to Ocean City, Maryland. We're hoping to get 20 Swaggers and below are the courses and tee times.

May 23, 2008 @ Lighthouse Sound- 1:24-2:00 - 20 golfers
May 24, 2008 @ Rum Pointe - 8:06-8:38 - 20 golfers
May 25, 2008 @ War Admiral at GlenRiddle- 7:06-7:54 - 20 golfers
May 26, 2008 @ Man O'War at GlenRiddle - 8:00-8:36 - 20 golfers

The price per person for four rounds of golf at these premier courses and three night condo accommodations is $440. These two fully furnished brand new condos are huge and will easily accommodate all 20 golfers comfortably. Golf, dinner, poker, etc. Tons of fun and great comradery. If any of you are interested, let me know.

Again, please save the date and make it a priority to attend our inaugural meeting on February 2nd.
