Day 1:Round I

Perfect day for golf on a not so perfect golf course. We were greeted with rude staff, waited for range balls and the fairways were not in top shape. However, everyone was ready to battle it out and get some hardware for the awards night. It turns out that the young gun, Daniel Hollnsteiner, blazed the field away and posted a score of 5 under par to win the first day tour and lead class A. Second place was a 4-way tie with a minus 2 and it goes to Mac Fojas. Congrats to all the winner for Day 1.

It was hot hot hot but that did not stop some players from posting their best scores of the season. Hot rod, Lito DG was on the prowl again and was about to claim another win. Caloy came up with a galant stand but fell a bit short. The showstopper came from a second year member, Bert Pizzaro who posted a net score of 68. It was such a surprise that he treated everyone to food and beer inside the clubhouse when the results was finally settled.

Tour#8: The New Jersey Cup
Southmoore Golf Course

The morning started with a steady downpour while driving to the golf course but as the first flight was about to tee off, it turned to a light drizzle. A few holes later, the sun came out and the day was just perfect for a golf tournament. This time around, we have a new challenger that managed to stall Lito DG's winning rampage. Gerry Aguilera captured the second place title as he was 2 strokes behind the Champ. There must be something special at Bamboo Grill because the eventual champion is no other than Andy "Zman" Zapata, scoring a net 67.

As the saying goes, practice makes perfect, in true form the hardest working swagger sets a record low net score of 57. Yes, you read it right, 57 net score and this will surely be a record that will be very hard to beat. The closest second place winner, Ferdie Umahon, who also posted a ground breaking net score of 61 was still 4 strokes back. Even the inspired game of Dr. Jun Bada whose net of 7 under par would have easily won the championship but not on this day. This day belong to the hardest working swagger and premier ballroom dancer, Lito De Guzman who scored 79 breaking 80 for the first time! He almost grabbed the low gross score too but our official paparazzi photographer, Romy Francisco was able to hold on to low gross with a 77. This was truly a test and the golf course was in prime condition as they were getting ready for an LPGA tournament on June 16.

Everyone who stayed was treated to a hearty meal and celebrated this record breaking experience. We would like to thank Lito and Jun for treating the group. This shows how Swaggers celebrate a wonderful day of golf by bonding after the tournament.

Ooops he did it again ....... no it's not Brittney Spears but Ron Bruno did it again!

He trampled the competition to submission by posting a net 61 (10 under par) and 2nd place/Low Gross winner, Romy Francisco, was not even close with a net 70. Back to back win launches Ron to the top of all leaderboards and looks like the man to beat this year.

Lets see if anyone can stop him in the next tour as he goes for the first three-peat in Swag history.
